Prizes, Prizes, Prizes! Silent Auc-shh!-ion And Raffle Raise Hundreds For RMCH Charity
With some fantastic prizes up for grabs, we saw a huge response from the call centre with people eagerly placing bids and snapping up tickets. We sold over four-hundred tickets and raised a whopping £179.32 on the Raffle alone!
Customer Services Manager Sue Ratcliffe made off with a bottle of Chivas Regal Whiskey while PA Charlotte was delighted with her £25 gift card for House of Fraser. From can openers to chocolates and recipe books to DVDs, the response from the team has been amazing in support of the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to every one of our team who took part and helped make Friday a success.
In fact, it was such a success that we decided to extend the Raffle and Auction so the night-time and weekend staff could have a chance to enter and win. Winners weren’t announced until this morning when the Raffle and Auction closed for business.
But now the results are in, and we can confirm the winners of the BIG prizes are:
Dani Harris: Dinner for 2 at San Carlo, Manchester
Business Development Executive, Dani bid a massive £60 for this amazing prize, making her our biggest contributor to RMCH Charity so far. When asked for her reaction, she said simply, “You have no idea what kind of bill I’m going to rack up!”
Lee Hunt: Company car for a week
The second member of our Business Development team to make off with a big-shot prize, Lee bagged himself a company Mercedes for a week. “It definitely beats the tram,” he grinned, clutching his winning ticket.
Lee bid an incredibly generous £50, our second-largest single donation to the organisation.
Ludo Tolhurst-Cleaver: Boss’s Car-Parking Space
IT Software Programmer and all-round whizz-kid Ludo bid a rather mean 50p for the privilege of up-to-the-door parking.
“I don’t drive to work,” Ludo explained, “But I felt I could put the space to good use, for instance, I could put my bike in pride of place.” Theft issues aside, Ludo looked delighted when it was announced he came out on top. “Of course, it’s always nice to win,” he said.
We’d like to extend a huge thank you to all our staff who dug deep into their pockets, raided their piggy banks and emptied their coin purses on behalf of Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity. We raised an amazing £309.82 for a wonderful, local cause and are so grateful that you were all so keen to be involved.
