Silent Auc-shh!-ion And Raffle For Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity
It’s September and already the weather has briefly dipped into autumn before swerving awkwardly back into summer. A new month means a new Charity Partner Of The Month for alldayPA.
Last month’s fundraising event for Dystonia was a huge success. Our Great UK-Based Telephone Answering Service Bake-Off raised a grand total of £116 which was raised up to £1,000 by the company.
This month, we’re supporting the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity. A local cause that everyone can get behind, the Hospital provides specialist care to children not only in Manchester but across the North West, as well as nationally and internationally. The RMCH Charity was established to raise funds and ensure the continued excellence in the quality of care received by the Hospital’s young patients.
The Charity are championed by alldayPA Graphic Designer, Tom Campbell. “Being ill is a difficult time for anyone,” he said, when asked why he selected RMCH Charity as his organisation of choice, “Especially young children and their families. Manchester Children’s Hospital do amazing work to make those who need to use their facilities feel as comfortable and cared for as possible. I have nominated them as one of our charities so they can continue to do so.”
Prizes, prizes, prizes!
The staff may be reaching for their coin purses but all in the name of a good cause, and with the chance to win some fantastic prizes. Up for grabs in the silent auction is the chance to drive home in the company Mercedes for a week, a dinner for two at San Carlo, Manchester and the boss’s car parking space.
The bidding will be starting at around £10 for each prize, with staff making their bids on paper in secret throughout the day and the highest bidder to be announced at the end. Tensions are already high as staff state their intentions and preferred prizes!
Raffle, raffle, raffle!
For just two pounds staff will be able to buy a strip of five raffle tickets. We have a fabulous selection of prizes to be won, from bottles of spirits and wine to chocolates, DVDs and lovely smellies.
With the PAs and all the team in head office looking forward to the chance to win some excellent prizes, and all donations going towards an excellent cause, we’re hopeful that the Silent Auction And Raffle will be a huge success. Look out for our updates on Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus and LinkedIn on Friday 19th September! We’ll be announcing prize winners and the total amount raised before the end of the day.
